Mission Statement
MSU Extension's children and youth mission is to provide community-based, regional and statewide educational experiences to diverse audiences of children and youth, and the parents and adults that support them, resulting in the development of assets that help children and youth thrive and contribute in a complex and changing world.
Description
4-H Youth Mentoring in Clinton County provides at risk youth in the area with the knowledge and skills to make postive life choices and become successful adults by providing them with adult and teen mentors who will be a positive influence on their development. Their are two site based mentoring programs in Clinton County; the Key Mentoring Program and the Key Book Club. Both programs match youth with a mentor who meets with them once a week for two hours for the duration of the school year.
