How does Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network let the community know about its programs and services for people living with HIV and AIDS, volunteer opportunities, and its educational and advocacy opportunities? One important way is staffing informational booths or tables at community events. As a Community Ambassador, you’ll help people understand HIV and AIDS, assist them in becoming volunteers themselves, and enhance TIHAN’s presence in Tucson and Southern Arizona. Your friendly smile, open and welcoming demeanor, and desire to listen as well as share information, will help reduce stigma and provide compassionate support for people living with HIV. If you have 4 or 5 hours a month, as opportunities arise, you might be perfect for this opportunity. For more information, contact us at (520) 299-6647 ext 206, or VolunteerCoordinator@tihan.org. Also, please add VolunteerCoordinator@tihan.org to your email contact list so messages from us won't go to your junk folder.
