Mission Statement

In New Jersey, the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) is the state agency that receives and investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect and, if necessary, arranges for the child's protection and the family's treatment.

Description

Protect minor children from abuse and neglect. We provide services as needed. We serve and safeguard vulnerable children and families in the state. DYFS' efforst are directed towards keeping children safe and making sure they are well cared for.
