Mission Statement

Kate's Place, Inc. is a non-profit social program that provides a safe and friendly environment for Developmentally Delayed teens and young adults. This program is primarily designed for those who are not able to be on their own, but have the inherent human need for a feeling of independence and socialization with their peers.

Description

Kate's Place, Inc. is a social program for developmentally delayed teens and young adults that also focuses on health and fitness. Only healthy snacks such as fresh fruit and vegetables are usually served along with physical activity to keep the attendees up and moving.

Our attendees do not have the ability to socialize where most teens and young adults do today by driving or hanging out at the malls. We give them a place to go where they, along with their caregivers, can feel comfortable knowing that they are safe and loved. As our attendees usually do not have friends in there local neighborhood, they are able to make new friends among their peers at Kate's Place, Inc.
