I have been a Mobile Meals volunteer for almost five years now and it seems like yesterday that I delivered my first meal. It is truly a rewarding experience. To smile, to talk, to help them with a task...whatever they may need that day I am stopping by. We do make a difference to them.

Mobile Meals is a terrifically easy volunteer opportunity... One in which the rewards far outweigh the effort. I look at my volunteer time as my little "mid-day getaway" from my desk. I get a break from the grind (and some oxygen to the brain) while the folks on my route get nutritious food and a friendly "hello" which hopefully brightens their day as much as it does mine! Talk to your boss and then to your co-workers... maybe a couple people can share a route if you are unsure about the commitment - Try it once and you'll be hooked!

I have been a volunteer for Mobile Meals for 10 years. It is the most satisfying and FUN experience I have. The clients are grateful and you know you are making a difference in their lives.

Mobile Meals is a wonderful way to give back to our community. I always get way more than I give; the people I deliver to are lovely, and we have developed some great friendships over the years. Do it; you will be glad you did!

Mobile Meals is an awesome charity that helps so many people stay in their homes that would otherwise be in nursing or assisted living homes. The people are wonderful and so appreciative of the volunteers that come to their homes. You don't just deliver food, you make someones day by just bringing along your smiles!
