Mission Statement

To promote informed advance planning for funeral and memorial arrangements.

Description

We are an entirely volunteer-run, 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization that educates people about their rights and options when planning for and purchasing funeral goods and services. We provide objective support, education and advocacy and are not associated with the funeral industry.

We are available for free phone and email consultations to answer your questions and help you make plans, and provide information on a wide variety of end-of-life related issues including: advance directives and health care proxies, putting your financial house in order, hospice, burial, cremation, green burial, donation, embalming, viewing, funeral and memorial services, prices, how to choose a funeral home, and more.

We offer tools to empower you to make informed, thoughtful decisions about funeral and memorial arrangements before they are needed. We are a member of the Funeral Consumers Alliance (www.funerals.org), a national federation of funeral consumer information societies.

I like to meet with this group concerning policy and procedures that the community have with funeral business owners.
