Silence the Violence was established in January 1997 by Shantell Campbell and Christine Blair . We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization committed to empowering teens to use creative self-expression through music, art, sports, and technology to create positive change, embrace diversity and promote tolerance and harmony. Silence the Violence provide teens with programs that will help build self-esteem, promote awareness, build on their creativity and practice non-violence. STV prides its self on giving our youth a voice to address the issues they care about and help them find solutions to their problems. Silence the Violence inspire teens to stand-up and be heard , giving them the chance to get involved by voicing their opinions and thoughts on youth violence in their communities and schools, and what they can do to create change. We are committed to connecting young, motivated, diverse, and passionate teens all over the country to get involved in their communities and learn how to interact and appreciate each other while working together toward a society free of intolerance and confrontation. Silence the Violence believes that through creative outlets we are able to attack youth violence head-on, giving teens the tools they need to grow into the successful role models and leaders they are destined to be. We are passionate about joining the fight against youth violence and we encourage everyone to take a stand in saving our children's lives.
