Description

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Dallas, Unlocking DOORS is a unique comprehensive "Community Reentry Network" that seeks to create and promote a safer more productive society by revolutionizing reentry service delivery to former offenders through individual and community empowerment, education and engagement. Recognizing the interlinking relationships among the various parts of the criminal justice system, Unlocking DOORS, through its nationally-unique Reentry Brokerage/Data Model, spearheads a paradigm shift in the delivery of reentry services by fostering a "community-based" cooperative to address this historically complex problem through a seamless continuum of care platform which is key to the participant’s successful transition into free society. Through its Reentry Brokerage/Data Model, Unlocking DOORS reduces crime by guiding those with criminal backgrounds to a future of self-sufficiency that is crime free. By collaborating with a vast Community Network of "brokered" Partners/Providers (265 and counting), Unlocking DOORS pulls together all resources/services into one coordinated effort, allowing for cross-networking, collaboration and a stronger service model for clients. By empowering the client to take an active role in mapping his future, the client's outlook changes: he feels hopeful, secure, confident, and happier; increasing the likelihood that he will find a future of self-sufficiency that is crime-free.
