Sitting at the bedside, providing respite for caregivers, playing a patient's favorite tunes, and holding hands are ways Hospice volunteers enrich the lives of our patients. If you are interested in bringing comfort to others through just being there with them, we would love to hear from you. Franciscan Hospice Volunteers provide compassionate presence for our patients, all of whom are within 6 months of dying. Help them continue to look their best, even when it's too difficult for them to go on outings to the barber shop or salon. In home, bring your own supplies, be ready to hear some interesting life stories, be present for companionship, and ease the load for a busy care giver.
