To produce quality live shows, foster creative expression, and engage diverse community members in the art of theatre.

Description

The Hickory Community Theatre is one of the oldest arts organizations in Hickory, NC. We offer over 14 productions every season including mainstage shows like musicals and popular comedies, cabaret entertainment including award-winning dramas, senior theatre and childrens shows. The Theatre was founded in 1949 by a group of community volunteers led by Kay Johnson of the city's recreation department. The City of Hickory continues to support the Theatre by providing us a home in the old city hall, our original home in Downtown Hickory.

The price is right and the atmosphere is nice.

This is a great place to volunteer and see shows they are very seriouse about their opperations.
