Hickory Community Theatre

The Hickory Community Theatre is one of the oldest arts organizations in Hickory, NC. We offer over 15 productions every season including mainstage shows like musicals and popular comedies, cabaret entertainment including award-winning dramas, senior theatre and childrens shows. The Theatre was founded in 1949 by a group of community volunteers led by Kay Johnson of the city's recreation department. The City of Hickory continues to support the Theatre by providing us a home in the old city hall, our original home in Downtown Hickory.

Mission Statement

The Hickory Community Theatre exists to offer quality live theatre, provide lifelong learning opportunities and foster creative expression throughout our community.
