Children First

Description

Children First is a private, charitable, non profit organization that serves hundreds of Sarasota County's most vulnerable children, birth to five, and their families. Our kids come from very low-income homea and our programs are designed to reduce or minimize the effects of poverty. We provide our children with what all children deserve-a safe place to learn, nutritious meals, and a nurturing environment. Ultimately our goal is to ensure that each child is ready for kindergarten. We also offer support services to all our families, which helps each parent reach his or her goals. Our classes have a low child to adult ratio. Our staff is well trained and they provide a nurturing and stimulating environment in our state-of-the-art educational facilities. Additionally, nutritious meals are provided each day for every child in our program. Our programs target children in our community who are at risk because of poverty, disability, neglect or abuse. We offer a wide range of programs designed to meet each child's unique needs.
