Walton Middle School Mentors are volunteers from the community who are paired with a student identified by school counselors as one who would especially benefit from a relationship with a mentor.Each mentor meets with their student for one-half hour per week during the school year, during lunch or 5th Block, providing encouragement, friendship, and being a solid role model to the students during this very impressionable time in their lives. The pressure students experience today are endless.For a child with low self-esteem, family or learning challenges, the value of a trusted friend, guide and role model can have a significant impact on their lives.
