Action of Greater Lansing is a coalition of 13 diverse congregations in the Greater Lansing area that have come together to address gaps within the local political and economic systems. Together, the congregations have successfully worked with:
* The Lansing Police Department to create a HotSpot Card Program, an anonymous crime reporting tool
* The Ingham County Commission to design a "Jail to Community Reentry Program" that will provide an effective transition for ex-offenders leaving the Ingham County Jail
* Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero to address the high number of unregistered rental properties in the community, which have led to an unprecedented number of "Red Tag" properties and displaced tenants.
Mission Statement
Action of Greater Lansing effectively addresses the systemic causes of local community problems through a collaborative effort of diverse religious congregations.
