What we do:
¨ Provide assistance to families of chronically and critically ill pediatric patients
Examples: Kylie Cares Bags and assistance to cover non-medical costs related to inpatient stays such as meals, parking, and emergency funds
¨ Enhance the lives of inpatient pediatric patients
Examples: Enhancement of physical spaces, donations of "wish list" items¨ Educate parents and medical staffs on ways to best work together for pediatric patient s
Examples: New Parent Class, Resident Lectures, Medical Staff Continuing Education, Family Mentoring
¨ Raise Awareness of pediatric cancers, especially rare solid tumor cancers
Examples: information provided during events, encouragement of research and donations to research institutions
Mission Statement
The mission of The Kylie Jane Long Foundation is to enhance the lives of local pediatric patients and their families by providing assistance, improving physical spaces, educating parents and medical staffs, and raising awareness of rare pediatric cancers.
