Description

Carolina Caring was established as one of North Carolina’s original three hospice providers in 1979, when formalized end-of-life care was in its early stages. We began as a small group of grassroots volunteers who came together to support families in our immediate community.

Through the years, we learned more, grew more, and became a valued resource both locally and regionally. Thanks to our reputation for quality care and compassion, we were invited into neighboring towns and counties, and we accepted the call to help folks throughout the Catawba Valley. Currently, families and medical professionals in 12 counties count on Carolina Caring to comfort, uplift, and care for individuals challenged by advanced illness, readily entrusting their loved ones to our expertise.

I have never been in a health care facility, in particular one which serves the terminally ill, that uplifted my spirit to such a level of joy, respect, and admiration. The staff there are truly dedicated, knowledgable, & professional, providing the highest standard of attentiveness to those individuals who are entrusted to their care. The facility is immaculate, warm, inviting, and the attention to detail is so apparent from the healing and therapeutic landscaping, the decor in all of the rooms, the sunroom, the Meditation Rm., the family visiting areas, down to the most minute detail in considering the comfort of the people they serve, as well as the peace their loved ones know is nothing less then the love experinced in their familial homes. I was so delighted to know that the services and love provided by each staff member are never denied to any individual because of a lack of a person's personal finances. The term "CARE" Center is certainly appropriate for this home.
