Mission Statement
Villa Majella of Santa Barbara is a non-denominational organization founded in 1982. Villa Majella provides comprehensive services to at-risk, in-crisis pregnant women who have chosen to carry thier babies to term whether the future involves parenting or adoption. Villa Majella provides a nurturing environmentt of love, education and support through its maternity home so that mothers and their babies can lead healthy and productive lives.
Description
Villa Majella offers housing to women in crisis pregnancy 18 and over. Women can stay at Villa Majella throughout their pregnancy and up to 6 months after birth. While at VIlla Majella the women may participate in the following: Case Management, Individual counseling, Child Birth Preparation, Parenting Classes, 12 Step Groups, Out-patient Substance Abuse Treatment, Bible Study, Domestic Violence Counseling, Adoption Information Presentation, Budgeting Class, Yoga, Meal Preparation and Household Chores.
