Mission Statement

Our vision is to live in an environment where seniors and persons with disabilities are valued and are an active part of our community. We currently serve nearly 600,000 meals a year to over 7,500 seniors and persons with disabilities in Suburban Cook, Kendall & Grundy Counties.

Join us for lunch!

Fight against hunger by giving back to the older adults in your community! The Community Nutrition Network needs your help serving meals at our café sites as well as delivering meals to homebound adults. These opportunities can last anywhere from 1-3 hours and are located at various sites throughout the northern Illinois area.

At The Community Nutrition Network, we strive to keep older adults and persons with disabilities an active part of their community by providing them with the support they need. Much more than a meal, our programs combat depression and isolation, offers companionship, and provides safety checks for homebound adults.

During the covid-19 crisis, I wanted an opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the health and well being of one of our vulnerable populations - our senior citizens. Being a volunteer Wellness Check-In Liaison has provided me with the chance to contribute more than just helping someone get a meal. It provides hope, companionship and compassion. The training process was easy. I highly recommend volunteering for this organization.

I have been volunteering the past few months delivering meals for this organization. I cannot say enough good things on how much they truly help provide assistance especially to seniors that can no longer drive and have financial hardships. It is very humbling to be able to give back and help others. The company that provides the meals are made fresh and are delivered hot by volunteers which they are always in need of. Please help support this cause.
