Mission Statement
The New York Foundling, in the tradition of openness and compassion of its sponsors the Sisters of Charity, helps children, youth, adults, and families in need through services, supports, and advocacy that strengthen families and community and help each individual reach their full potential. Together, our programs embody a comprehensive approach to our most central goal: to empower underserved children and families to live healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives.
Description
Our broad spectrum of services includes intensive programs and services for children and families involved with the child welfare and juvenile justice systems; voluntary programs that reduce risk factors for child abuse, maltreatment, or justice involvement; education and enrichment programs for youth with complex needs; programs that support the health and wellbeing of families in our community; and programs that support and empower people with developmental disabilities.
