A nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, CIEE is the world leader in international education and exchange. For more than 70 years CIEE has helped thousands of people gain the knowledge and skills necessary to live and work in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world by offering the most comprehensive, relevant, and valuable exchange programs available.
The High School USA program sponsors international high school students from more than 70 nationalities to attend school and live with American host families each year.

We were privileged to host a student from Germany for the 2008-90 school year. While we were anxious and uncertain as to how he would fit in, the experience far exceeded our best expectations. Steve integrated into our family and enthusiastically participated in every aspect of our lives. We learned so much from each other and gained a broader perspective on the world outside the US. We ended the year sadly, as we hated to see him leave, but look forward to visiting him and his family next summer.

My family and I are very excited to host an exchange student with CIEE this fall! CIEE has been around for a long time and is one of the most reputable exchange organizations in the world. They focus on the true meaning of international exchange, sharing cultures and ideas to bring about understanding throughout the world. They are diligent about the safety of host families and exchange students, they strictly follow the State Department guidelines. Local Coordinators keep in constant communication with their families and students and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
I would highly recommend hosting an exchange student with CIEE!
