Northwest Seaport

Northwest Seaport is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the maritime heritage of Puget Sound and the Northwest Coast with visitors of all backgrounds. Its main attractions are the large historic ships it own and operates, including the tugboat Arthur Foss, the Lightship No 83, and the Pacific schooner Wawona.

Northwest Seaport is based at Seattle's new Lake Union Park. Its vessels have permanent moorage at the Historic Ships Wharf, where they are open for tours on weekends during the summer and by appointment the rest of the year.

In addition to vessel tours, Northwest Seaport hosts educational and experiential programs on many of its vessels, in partnership with other organizations in the maritime community.

Mission Statement

To preserve and interpret the maritime heritage of Puget Sound and the Northwest Coast, and to develop maritime-based educational programs and opportunities for the broad community.
