Mission Statement

Swim Across America , Inc., [ SAA ] is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming-related events. With the help of hundreds of volunteers nationwide and past and current Olympians, SAA is helping find a cure for cancer through athleticism, community outreach and direct service.

The Seattle, Lake Washington Swim has been a thriving event since its inception in 2009. This family friendly event will raise thousands every year for their local beneficiary, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Description

Swim Across America - Seattle is an open water swimming fundraising event that raises money for the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA). You can swim as an individual or a team. Our event this year is Sept 12 at Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island. We have a 1/2,1 and 2 mile course. We hope to make 2015 the biggest and best year yet and invite you to join us as we "Make Waves to Fight Cancer" in September. We will have a catered event with hot food and beverages. Come out for the fun.
