Please note: Mayo Clinic has requirements for volunteering. Below is a list of some of these requirements. Mayo Clinic Health System - Hospice Volunteers: Volunteers are a vital part of the hospice team. They bring a personal touch to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness. We are looking for volunteers to join our team through out the Northwest Wisconsin Region. Hospice Volunteers: *Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families *Provide respite care so caregivers can take a break, run errands or take a nap *Assist with light household tasks *Provide support to the bereaved hospice family *Co-facilitate grief support groups Vet-to-Vet: Mayo Clinic Health System-Hospice is in need of Veterans who are willing to share some of their precious time to help a family that is providing end of life care for a loved one. Veteran patients are paired with Veteran Hospice Volunteers who may have a better understanding of what the Veteran has experienced. Hospice volunteers who also are Veterans will have the unique ability to support other Veterans who are terminally ill.

Our STEP Force volunteers assist staff with patient transport or escort service to areas within the hospital and clinic. They assist staff with the delivery of patient related materials, including small orders of supplies, reports, lab specimens, records, pharmacy items, and IV Therapy.
