We seek to improve the quality of life both for people with mental illness and for their families.

Description

NAMI Mass is a non profit organization serving the needs of the mental health community in Massachusetts. We are a state resource for individuals and families facing the challenges of mental illness, providing free mental health family-based education, family and peer support and grassroots advocacy. NAMI Mass provides education, support and advocacy at individual, community, state and federal levels to motivate policy change and increase funding and services for those with the greatest need. The state's "voice on mental illness," NAMI Mass represents families, individuals with mental illness and our professional partners in the mental health community creating successful partnerships.

Volunteering at the NAMI walk was an absolute pleasure. Everyone involved was enthusiastic and easy to cooperate with, and it was very organized and easy to understand. I will definitely be volunteering for future NAMI walks and events!
