Mission Statement

We affirm the value of human dignity and self-respect for every person. We are called by our collective spiritual and social responsibility to serve all people in need--the homeless, disadvantaged, disabled, unemployed, and oppressed. Our goal is to enhance societal and personal advancement through provision of housing and support services that empower individuals and families to reach their fullest potential. Emmaus helps people rebuild their lives by creating and renewing a sense of community.

Description

Emmaus Inc. was incorporated in 1985 and seeks to relieve the plight of the homeless through emergency shelter, permanent affordable housing, education and job training, and comprehensive support services.

Emmaus has served homeless families and individuals since January 1987. Each year, Emmaus helps over 2,500 different women, men, and children. On any given night, over 300 adults and children call Emmaus "home". Emmaus provides over 80,000 meals annually to our shelter guests and housing residents.
