Mission Statement

Every year, abused teens are put into the foster care system or worse- end up on the streets as part of our homeless population. At T.R.A.C. and T.R.A.C.life we provide hope through camping and mentoring programs designed especially for these youth.

Description

T.R.A.C. is a positive, faith-based summer camp where youth ages 12 to 15 that may have suffered abuse, neglect or abandonment, can experience unconditional acceptance and receive encouragement from people who care about them.

T.R.A.C. campers explore the outdoors, learning team work and participating in activities that improve trust, self-value and teamwork. T.R.A.C. gives campers the opportunity to work hard and play hard while learning to value themselves and others. At T.R.A.C., campers are encouraged to reach and set their own personal goals. Campers will learn how to work with their team on a challenge course, as well as other indoor and outdoor activities.

T.R.A.C. volunteers attending camp are interviewed, background checked and thoroughly trained in the T.R.A.C. policies. Standards for working with youth in foster care, along with guidelines of interacting with these teens at camp, are also provided during training.

T.R.A.C. volunteers have a compassionate heart for teens who have experienced abuse and neglect. We have a passion to encourage positive hope for each camper’s future. Each camp needs both men and women volunteers.
