My high school was full of young teens without any positive role models in their life. Though many of them would not admit it, they enjoyed having someone they could talk to. My mentor, Lesa, really helped me in realizing that its ok to not be perfect. She helped me to be confident in myself. I would not have had this woman in my life had it not been for the program.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters has been a big part of my life for 10 years. I have been matched with 4 little brothers, and all the matches changed my life in a very postive way. My first match is now a freshmen in college, it was so much fun him grow up. I believe this organization has such a large impact on young peoples lives, and as a mentor it hardly feels like a charity as it is so much fun. I look forward to all my match activities.
