Mission Statement

Congenital heart defects are America’s and every country’s #1 birth defect. Nearly one of every 100 babies is born with a CHD, yet CHD research is grossly under-funded relative to the prevalence of the disease. Congenital heart defects are the #1 cause of birth defect related deaths and are the leading cause of all infant deaths in the United States.

On June 5, 2014, our daughter Liv underwent heart surgery to repair her Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) at 4 days old. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Cardiac Center diagnosed Liv prenatally at their Fetal Heart Program, and from the moment they welcomed our family with open arms & big hearts, we knew we were in the right city at the right time. We are forever grateful for the advanced CHD research happening at CHOP that made it possible for our miracle to come home.

Thriving & with a joyful spirit, Olivia turns one on June 2nd, 2015, and we prepare to celebrate her "heartiversary" on June 5th, 2015. To celebrate and give back to the hospital that saves so many children’s lives each year, we are hosting a benefit entitled "Liv With All Your Heart," to support the Cardiac Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. All proceeds will directly benefit advanced Congenital Heart Disease research programs, so they will continue to positively impact the lives of heart warriors around the world.
