Mission Statement

Kingdom Communities was established in 2010 with a mission to increase the capacity of grass root faith-based and secular community service organizations that work to promote the development of healthy individuals, families and businesses in impoverished communities. We will know our work is successful when these organizations are able to do the work described in Isaiah 61:4.

"And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations."

Description

Kingdom Communities works to engage churches valley-wide in the community development process for South Phoenix neighborhoods. Our strength-based approach to community revitalization involves an innovative model that brings together faith, community, government, education and business partners as stakeholders in the transformation community process. Kingdom Communities is currently working with Christian organizations, community-based agencies, neighborhood associations, coalitions and collaborative teams, government agencies, law enforcement and businesses to improve the qulaity of life for south Phoenix residents through education, training, job placement and job creation through small business incubation.

Kingdom Communities has a special focus on the development of young male leaders, ages 18-25. We offer housing, life skills and leadership development for this population with a goal of developing future leaders of businesses and families in the community.
