Description

Camp Fire and Camp Wathana provide professional youth programs Camp Wathana, also protecterd now in a convervancy, is a historic 250 acre camp in Holly, Michigan about an hour north of the Detroit area. The facility is owned and operated by Camp Fire Southeast Michigan Council. It is an environmentally diverse property consisting of two lakes surrounded by wetlands, forests and fields. Camp facilities include lodges, cabins, a waterfront for swimming and boating, a large dining hall, an outdoor theater, numerous fire circles, and hiking trails. Camp Fire SEM operates a summer camp for youth on the property. Other organizations also utilize the camp to provide outdoor and developmental opportunites for youth and other outdoor interest groups.

Camp Fire Southeast Michigan also announces a new program - Camp 4 Military Kids.

This new program helps support military families by awarding camperships to kids who have a parent serving in the armed forces. The benefits of a camp experience can do wonders to relieve the stresses that military children face every day while their parent is absent in service to our nation
