Description
VolunteerLEON, the Leon County Volunteer Center, is a program of the Leon County Board of County Commissioners which promotes volunteering as a means to address community issues and needs, connects people with appropriate opportunities, builds the capacity of local volunteer programs and participates in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers from all sectors. VolunteerLEON places volunteers of all ages, interns, and court-ordered workers with County departments, as well as makes referrals to and provides training for other government organizations and community based organizations. VolunteerLEON also coordinates the observance of national service days and provides a listing of community-wide volunteer opportunities online at www.VolunteerLEON.org. For more information, visit VolunteerLEON's website or call 850-606-1970.
