Miles for Moffitt has relocated to a new permanent location in Downtown Tampa. The 2nd downtown event will take place on Sat., Nov. 23, 2019.
Each year, Miles for Moffitt welcomes runners and walkers who are interested in getting a healthy dose of exercise while helping Moffitt Cancer Center carry on its mission to contribute to the prevention, treatment and cure of cancer. Since our first event in 2006, the main goal has always been to end cancer. All proceeds raised by Miles for Moffitt participants, virtual runners, donors and volunteers support cutting-edge research projects at Moffitt that will serve as a resource to accelerate our mission. Our generous sponsors help underwrite the expenses associated with the race, which allows the funds raised to be directed toward cancer research at Moffitt. Participants can take part in the, 10K, 5K, 1K walk/run, wheelchair races, Kids Dash, or be a virtual runner. Thanks to the generous support of community members, Miles for Moffitt continues to grow every year with additional sponsors, participants, patients and family members coming together to be part of something special.
