Since, 1917, the American Red Cross Sussex County has provided a true community outreach, in reccent years assisting victims of the Able Energy explosion, the Andover Inn fire, floods on the Delaware River, Hurricane Katrina. We have helped scores of local families who have lost their homes in fire-related disasters.
We provide support to military families in crisis. We are in neighborhoods every day - teaching lifesaving skills, hosting blood drives. We serve as a resource to the community-at-large.
We are here for the people of Sussex County because of the people of Sussex County.
Mission Statement
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter and the Fundamental Prinicples of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for an respond to emergencies.
