Through school outreach, EDIN works towards education students,parents, and educators on the importance of eating disorder prevention and treatment. EDIN also hosts various community activities to bring awareness to the general public of the issue of eating disorders. EDIN has created handbooks to enable people to change the way thier peers (either other students or parents) see media, body image, and eating disorders as a whole.
