The mission of KAUPA is to restore the natural and cultural resources within our ahupua'a through education, outreach and action.

Description

KAUPA is a nonproft, community-based organization centered in Kalihi Valley. Our goal is to instill an environmental ethic of caring for the land - "Malama i ka aina" - in Kalihi through environmental education opportunities and activities within the community. We embrace both the traditional and scientific process, and advocate balancing today's modern challenges with the wisdom of the past.
