Mission Statement

Genesis of Pittsburgh, Inc. is a social service agency that includes community-based centers, a residential program for pregnant women, and an adoption agency. It is Genesis' mission to provide a complete spectrum of programs and services for those facing an unplanned pregnancy.

Description

Genesis programs include Genesis House, a licensed residential program for pregnant women in need of shelter; two Genesis community outreach centers that provide maternity clothing, infant and childrens clothing, toys and other items, food and formula, and free pregnancy tests; Genesis Adoption Agency; and education programs, such as parenting and newborn care education.

Genesis has the young women in mind when offering their services. By giving new knowledge and job skills to the young women they serve, they are acting to provide the children they bear better homes and a better home and a better future for all who live in their homes. I hope they never go away.
