Description

The Santee-Lynches Area Agency on Aging is a public non-profit agency serving seniors and their caregivers in Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter Counties in South Carolina. We are designated by the Lt. Governor’s Office on Aging as the Area Agency on Aging for Region VI.

Our agency, as mandated by the Older Americans Act, provides the infrastructure, forms the foundation, and exists to promote the independence, dignity, health and well-being of our older adults; to plan, fund, and administer a coordinated continuum of services for seniors; to facilitate and enhance service delivery; and to advocate for the needs and concerns of older Americans.

The Santee-Lynches Area Agency on Aging is one of ten such agencies in South Carolina and 670 across the nation. These agencies are identified as focal points through which aging programs are funded and integrated with the needs of the community while helping to build communities that value and support persons as they age.
