The mission of the Goodman Atwood Community Center is strengthening lives in our community.

In fulfilling its mission now for over 50 years, the Center facilitates a community atmosphere, identifies and responds to community needs, cooperates with individuals and other agencies to provide that help, promotes recreational and cultural events, and creates and coordinates meeting space, programs and information and services that reflect the community's ethnic and economic diversity.

The Center offers youth programs from preschool through teens: licensed and accredited preschool and elementary age after school programs, Girl Neighborhood Power program for middle school girls, Middle school Boys Group, and operates the Lussier Teen Center offering study groups and entertainment and enrichment activities for teens across Madison.

Providing nutritional meals is a large focus of everything we do from the youth in our programs daily, older adult luncheons twice a week, free community meal and food pantry.

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday we distribute all the fixings for a traditional Thanksgiving meal to over 1000 families.
