Be a hero and visit with hospice patients who are also veterans. We are looking for individuals who are able to visit with patients who served our country. Previous military experience is not necessary, you just need a desire to honor those who served our country by helping us collect their life stories, holding a hand or listening, or celebrating them on a special occasion like Veteran's Day. Volunteers will complete a background check, TB test, and training- no cost to you! We make every effort to have you visit close to your home- mileage reimbursement is provided. Transportation is necessary. Must provide copy of driver's license and auto insurance. Each assignment has their own rules and regulations on covid protocol, if any. All volunteers must follow the rules and regulations at the assignment and provide a copy of vaccination. Our volunteers are important to our team and patients, so we will respect your schedule. Join us and support fellow veterans in their last tour.

We are searching for empathetic and caring individuals or groups who are compassionate about the needs of the people in their community. These volunteers will visit hospice patients in "their home" which is either a facility or their home and would comprise of holding a hand, reading a book, completing a life story, reminiscing, or providing comfort to the patient and family, just to name a few. Volunteers will complete a background check, TB test and training- at no cost to you! We make every effort to have you visit close to your home- mileage reimbursement is provided. Transportation is necessary. Must provide a copy of driver's license and auto insurance. Each assignment has their own rules and regulations on Covid protocol, if any. All volunteers must follow the rules and regulations at the assignment and provide a copy of vaccination. Our volunteers are important to our team and patients so we will respect your schedule with a flexible at least monthly time commitment. Make a difference for a patient and family in your community, while being rewarded yourself.
