Mission Statement

Sistercare's mission is to provide advocacy and services to battered women and their children and to promote prevention of domestic violence through community education and training.

Description

Sistercare serves battered and abused women in Richland, Lexington, Fairfield, Kershaw and Newberry counties. Our philosophy is to empower battered women and their children. Sistercare does this by offering a comprehensive range of service to abused and battered women children including emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis line, counseling, legal advocacy, and post-shelter follow-up services.

Sistercare also provides community education and awareness to the aspects of domestic violence. Presentations are given by Sistercare representatives throughout the Midlands.

Volunteers are needed in all 5 counties served by Sistercare.
