My Very Own Blanket is dedicated to warming the heart of every child in the foster care system with a blanket and pillowcase, which gives them a feeling of comfort, security and, most of all, a SMILE!

Description

My Very Own Blanket (MVOB) is an organization of vounteers dedicated to helping children in foster care feel valued and comforted through making and delivering personalized blankets to children in foster care. Blankets are comforting and familiar and children can take them from one home to another.

MVOB has been providing blankets to the children in the foster care system since 1999. Since that time MVOB has provided over 100,000 blankets to children in Ohio and beyoond.

t was my first time today volunteering at My very own blanket and I enjoyed spending time helping with sewing and batting. I just loved it and very much looking forward to come over every week as long as I stay in Dublin. Got to meet a group of wonderful elderly women helping out doing great stuff for foster care kids. I am so overwhelmed with joy and happy that I was able to spend time doing something good than sitting home doing nothing at all.
