Description
At White Pine Programs, we mentor individuals and strengthen their communities by fostering meaningful connection with the natural world. Through scientific study, play, naturalist skills and adventure people develop an awareness of place and strengthen their relationships to the earth and each other. Their senses grow sharper, their curiosity intensifies, and their awareness expands. They gain useful skills, practical knowledge and have experiences that promote self-sufficiency, common sense and thoughtful decision-making. From these experiences springs resilience, compassion, gratitude and the realization that nature is an integral part of life, worth the time, energy and commitment necessary to protect it for future generations.
