Mission Statement

Good News Ministries is dedicated to proclaiming the gospel among the disadvantaged people of the inner-city and establishing them in Christian living while extending assistance of shelter, food, clothing, medical care and educational opportunities. Our ultimate goal is to help individuals achieve independent living with a reliance on God.

Description

Good News Ministries is dedicated to proclaiming the gospel among the disadvantaged of the inner city while extending assistance with food, shelter, clothing, medical care, educational or vocational training opportunities and counseling. Everyday over 200 needy men, women and children come to Good News Ministries seeking assistance through one or more of our programs: GOOD NEWS MISSION, a 77-bed Men's Shelter for homeless men; GOOD NEWS FAMILY SHELTER, a 10-unit long-term housing program for homeless families; GOOD SAMARITAN HEALTH CLINIC, free primary physician medical care and medications for the homeless or uninsured working poor; GOOD NEWS YOUTH CENTER, a daily after/out of school program for disadvantaged inner city children that serves 50-80 children ages 8-19 most week days; CAMP GOOD NEWS, a 42-acre residential campground providing free summer youth camp for needy children.
