Mission Statement
The Goathouse Refuge is a community oriented no-kill, cage-free sanctuary for homeless cats and kittens. The ultimate goal for each cat is adoption into a loving home. However, the Refuge is a safe haven where even cats that are unadoptable live in comfort with the care, attention and love they deserve.
Description
The Goathouse Refuge houses homeless cats and kittens. Our current population is about 200. Volunteer help is an integral part of the daily upkeep at the Goathouse Refuge. Volunteer help is divided into an a.m. and p.m. shift each day of the week---7 days per week. Voluteers will feed and care for the resident cats and keep their habitat clean and tidy. We change or clean litter daily, change laundry and bedding, sweep and mop floors and most importantly, LOVE on and socialize the cats and kittens. As a non-profit, we depend on donations and fundraising events to sustain operations.
