Paws to Freedom

Paws to Freedom is a non-profit all volunteer organization.

We encourage and promote community involvement at events including training workshops, seminars and education.

Our goals support opportunities for continued education and social activities for people with disabilities who are partnered with a service dog, and to raise awareness within our community about Service Dog Partnerships.

We do this through the following: Service Dog Training, Enrichment Activities, Workshops, Group Trainings, Social Events, Community Involvement and Community Education.

We are Building Bridges in Our Community, by promoting public access, acceptance and understanding of service dog partnerships.

We promote positive and humane training methods for the safety, wellness and success of both the person and their service dog partner.

Note: our office address is by appointment only. We train out in the community.

Volunteering with Paws to Freedom is an amazingly rewarding experience! The passionate group of volunteers of this organization come together with such supportive and realistic attitudes: to learn and teach together, to support their community and their service teams, and to education and inspire. It is an honor (and a lot of fun) to be a part of this organization. Many kinds of volunteer experiences are available: assisting hands-on with the service dog team training, seminars/workshops and outreach presentations, fund raising events, even simple assistance with office-help and telephone contacts go a long way to helping Paws to Freedom’s mission. As the founder of Paws to Freedom, I am a volunteer as well. We are all volunteers here! It takes folks of all areas of skills and interest to keep this fabulous project going! Seeing the teams in training progress is an absolute thrill! Meeting with the people attending seminars is very interesting!
