We assist people with disabilities in meeting their needs, pursuing their individual possibilities and achieving their life goals, and minimize the occurrence and reduce the severity of disabilities through prevention.

Description

The Pickens County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs was established in 1972 to serve people in Pickens County PCBDSN develops and coordinates local services to ensure that people with disabilities have equal opportunities to live, work, enjoy leisure activities, and achieve the highest level of independence, surrounded by natural support systems of family, friends, and neighbors.

The manner in which services have traditionally been provided in the state of South Carolina is changing and we are proud to be a part of this change. Establishing strong support for those members of our community who need specific services to remain healthy, productive, contributing citizens is vital to the strength of our entire community.
