Mission Statement
Turning Point is a community-based, non-profit organization with locations in the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Sunset Park and Red Hook. We serve all of Brooklyn by providing holistic support to individuals and families in need through education, health, and social services programs that make a real difference in our community and truly turn lives around.
Description
Turning Point reaches tens of thousands of individuals a year throughout Brooklyn. We provide an array of programs and services designed to empower under-served, high-need individuals to overcome difficult circumstances and make positive changes in their lives.
From HIV testing, to GED classes, to permanent housing, we work to hard to improve the lives of the 7,500 people who use Turning Point’s services every day. In the process, we believe Brooklyn is becoming a better place for all of us.
Turning Point is devoted to empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and spiritual wellness. Together with our donors, staff, volunteers, and community partners, we are building a better Brooklyn one person at a time.
