Mission Statement

Proceeds from the Charleston James Island Connector Run benefit the Gavalas Kolanko Foundation (GKF), a local charity that awards annual scholarships to students with physical disabilities. Since 1999, the Foundation has awarded 95 scholarships to Lowcountry students attending College of Charleston, Charleston Southern University. The Citadel, Trident Technical College, and the Art Institute of Charleston.

Description

The Charleston James Island Connector Run is the premier annual fundraising event for the Gavalas Kolanko Foundation. Thousands of runners, walkers and bicyclists converge the first Saturday in November for the annual event. With its 10K Run/Walk, 5K Run/Walk and 10K Bike Ride this event truly has something for everyone!
