Mission Statement

NFARs mission is to help in the development, expansion and support of autism programs and services that improve the quality of life for children and young adults with autism.

Description

NFAR has awarded nearly a million dollars in grants and direct services throughout San Diego County, supported primarily through the fundraising and proceeds of our annual Race for Autism in Balboa Park, NFAR has funded more than 350 initiatives in the areas of: early identification educational materials equipment and technology educational workshops and parent trainings out-of-school programs adult training and transition programs These programs are helping those with autism by creating new learning and social opportunities, funding studies to improve treatment, supporting outreach to underserved populations and providing for the immediate needs at the classroom level. At NFAR we realize that by creating a concerned and active community, we will help to ensure a brighter future for our children.

They need volunteers! Even if you're doing a menial task you know you're still helping out for a good cause.

Volunteer coordinator and all organizing staff were very kind and grateful to all volunteers. Event was coordinated well, making execution run smoothly. All involved were easily directed. I would definitely recommend volunteering for this organization.
