Description

If you are looking for an exciting, unique, and rewarding way to serve your community, the City of Poway Volunteer Reserve Park Ranger Program may be the place for you.

As a volunteer you can patrol our 55+ miles of trails, assist our park visitors, keep our community safe, lock parks, and provide critical help at our community events. Each Reserve Park Ranger will receive a uniform and shield upon graduation.

Training includes:

  • CPR, AED, First Aid Training
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Public Relations
  • Radio Communications
  • Special Event Assistance
  • Traffic Control

Requirements:

• Must complete 96 patrol hours a year. The program prefers around 8 hours a month, but we do understand that certain months can be harder than others.

• Rangers are required to attend the 6 scheduled meetings per year which include the Pot Luck and the Holiday Party; exceptions will be made on an as needed basis

• Must commit at least one year to the program
