Juntos New Mexico

Description

Juntos, which means "together" in Spanish, is a partnership between Conservation Voters New Mexico Education Fund and League of Conservation Voters Education Fund. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Juntos New Mexico launched in July 2014 to strengthen the voice of Latino families who are calling for protections for the air we breathe and the water we drink, not only for our own health, but also fo r our families and future generations. Organizers are fanning out across Albuquerque to talk with thousands of Latino families, to train new grassroots leaders, build a strong activist base and engage local officials who can convey the importance and urgency of the State Regulation Commission and Public Service of New Mexico, the utility company, to be responsible and accountable to their customers, future generations and the planet.
